Reflections in the Water

The end of semester 1 comes marching along, and I am happy to say I liked it. This was my first experience blogging, so i was a little skeptical at first. I expected to be writing every class but after doing the blogs I have decided that I liked them a whole lot better than the writing we would have done. Being gone as I was from class the day that the site was explained I was a little scared that I wouldn't be able to figure out how to work it, but when I tried to fix all the things you commented on it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Having done this I think that I might end up continuing using the blog but who knows if I will find the time.

The fact that other people in the class were going to read my crappy blogs was a little weird at first but I noticed that no one ever says anything about it, that could be because of my extreme lack of followers though. I think I might have three or four of those. I think that reading other peoples blogs really helped me though. I got to see how they wrote and their differences from my own, and from that what I was doing wrong and that happened to be commas and vocabulary. Though your (molly) commentary on those same things helped me out too.

The fact that the blogs were easy to do and of subject matter that was easilly accessible really helped too, though we did choose the subjects ourselves at times. I think my favorite blog was the one which you gave us a choice to do on foods and things that pertain to it. Having worked at a grocery store in the past helped me do it fast and well. While I don't know if I am a better writer these blogs really helped me to express myself better and how to better my writing even if only a little bit.

why scrubs is awesome

I don't really watch tv, but i do know a show that i think is pretty much the greatest of all time. I am sure that some of you have caught on by now that i am talking about Scrubs. Doctors, everyone loves doctors and scrubs is full of them. This is a show that depicts an intern and his friends as they progress through their career in medicine. Well this might seem like a rather dull plot, but in fact it is delivered in a delightfully witty, yet rather tacky way. With the rather odd protagonist narrating his life as he's shadowed by his jock surgeon best friend, antagonized by a narcissistic mentor, and challenged by the everyday complications of just being a doctor.

Whats more is that, unlike the many comedies out there, there is actual substance in this show in the form of a moral lesson learned by the main character. And should all these numerous reasons to watch this show not be enough, there is also the number of oddities such as: Girl balls, guy love, gay chicken, floating heads, hostile midget janitor, stuffed dog pet, suicidal lawyer, worlds biggest doctor, roof-top epiphany toilet, and many many more. If this still isn't enough then you probably just shouldn't be watching television. At all. Period. As in like none... never!!

My awesome break

My break started out driving from here in missoula to Eureka to pick up my wife's friend, a seven hour drive there and back just after i finished class on Friday. It was a good drive until i got to St. Ignatius on the way back and was really tired. I got pulled over for going 55 in a 45 zone through town.
We got home and we had an awesome week full of magic the gathering, anime, prototype, and some other video games. Had a great time.
It was then time to take my wifes friend home but i found out that my car broke down when i went to start it... great that really put me in a bad mood . A few minutes later i went out to check it again to see if it was going to work and it did, so i drove to eureka again and then back.
All in all it was a good time.

botulism is best?

Botulism... even sounds bad doesn't it? While I worked at a grocery store i learned about it. I was a box boy and got to see many dented cans of food. I thought big deal it is just a dent. Then I got in trouble for not taking the cans off of the shelf because the cans by being dented can cause botulism. Botulism is a nasty thing that is often brought about by the consumption of foods that have been poorly canned, or even something like inadequate amounts of preservatives in food. The symptoms of eating food with botulism can appear within 8 hours. They include paralysis, breathing difficulties that may lead to respiratory failure, vomiting and trouble swallowing or speaking.

Nasty huh, these are just a few of the things that can happen. Botulism is a very dangerous bacteria that if not dealt with fast enough can cause the death of the person who has it. Children are very susceptible to it because almost all of their foods are canned or bottled so to any who have young children, be careful.

While I wanted to talk about all of the awesome foods that are my favorites I Didn't because everyone needs to learn about these things.

And then there was eye stabbing

A very odd story, I was a little surprised. A couple of drug addicts working at a hospital stealing pills getting messed up. And of course working in a hospital there had to be some kind of accident that happened. A guy with a knife sticking out of his eye is not something that you see often, and that eye still being functional , wow.

I think that the author did a great job of making you feel that you were on drugs, I was a little confused as to what was going on for a while there. And there is another reason to not do drugs, getting lost being really confused, doing really dumb stuff. I would have been really freaked out about the being lost and not being able to see but they were so messed up that they didnt seem all that worried. Guess this proves the fact that drugs screw you over.

I really thought that the story was a great one, and I thought that the fact that you were only told the name fuckhead was kind of funny. For a while i thought that Georgie was the weird and stupid one of the two but as you go you kind of see how the narrator or fuckhead is really the dumb one, he lives a mediocre life never thinking anything of it. then at the end he finally realises that he is the dumb one when georgie says that he saves lives.

Enough said I think. Laterz

American male at age 10

Analyzing this was a little odd for me, at the time that this was written I was 5 years old so I remember some of the stuff that she wrote about being things that I thought about. At that age I really liked Urkel as well, But my favorite game was Mortal Kombat. I was 5 at the time so I really didnt think anything of girls, and I didnt watch tv or movies all that often so I probably didnt know who morgan freeman was.
I was part of a very poor family when I was younger and I had much of the same interests as the young boy from the interview. While she was interviewing just this little boy she wrote of how many young boys were. while things have changed now young men still have the same sort of thoughts.

Enneagram results 9

Today I took the Enneagram test and the test told me that I am a type nine.

Main Type
Overall Self
Take Free Enneagram Personality Test

Nines are said to be very trusting and accepting of people, entirely too much at times. They often go along with other peoples ideas and what they want so as to avoid conflict and keep the peace. They try to follow the path of least resistance as some would say.they tend to ignore all of the unpleasant and disturbing things in life. Most nines are also very stubborn, but at the best of times they are able to heal conflict, solve problems and bring people together. When nines get stressed they tend to bottle all of their emotions up so that they dont have deal with them but then eventually they get the better of them and it all comes out at once. Nines are also not thought to have a strong sense of self because of the fact that they worry about others so much.

All in all from what I have read all of these things seem to describe me very accurately. There are a few things that I don't have problems with in the things I described but for the most part it was very accurate. I tend to do things that my friends want to do and I do not, I always bottle up my feelings, I hate watching news because I hate to see all the saddening things that are happening around the world. I will agree this is me but I wont like it. I have taken a couple personality tests before so I kind of knew what to expect of this. I think this was a great assignment and I wouldn't mind doing something similar in the future. Alright I think this is enough for now later then.

I love to read, drink coffee, play video games, and be extremely loud. I am really looking forward to the class. This blog thing looks like it might be a good thing.
